Classic Bronco Design Ideas & Optional Upgrades

Please scroll down to view various design ideas, pictures and optional upgrades for your Bronco Build. This is just a sampling of popular upgrades. If you are looking for something custom you don’t see, just ask and we can work up a quote for you.

Exterior Paint Color

Below is a sampling of popular paint colors on Broncos. This is just a handful of colors to reference.

We can do any color that you choose. Many of our clients choose their paint color by using something off a brand-new car.

A great way to do this is by visiting a local new car dealership so you can see the paint colors in person. Once you see a color you love, just snap a picture of the window sticker (or door jamb sticker) and text or email it to us, and we can mix it up and match it perfectly.

Painted Engine Bay vs Standard Finish (Black Raptor Liner)

Raptor liner looks great and is functional, but upgrading to a painted engine bay really dresses up the engine compartment and highlights the Coyote Engine. It will also add to your resale value if you decide to sell your Bronco down the road.

Grill Color, Trim and Ford Grill Letters

Depending on the exterior color you choose, you may want to choose a contrasting grill color. For example, if choosing Brittany Blue for your exterior color, choosing to paint the grill Wimbledon White is a great look that makes the front end of the Bronco stand out.

In addition, adding 3D FORD letters to the grill can look great as well. These letters come in Red or Blue, with either Chrome or Black surrounding the edges. Lastly, adding chrome grill surround trim can really frame in the grill area.

Chrome grill surround trim is $500 additional. FORD letters are no charge.

From the factory, some Broncos came with Chrome Sport Body Moldings and Badges. By default, we generally use Sport Badges on the fenders on all builds. But you can choose plain Bronco Script Badges instead if you’d like.

If you choose to add the chrome body moldings, we just need to know before we start paint work on your build as it requires drilling holes in the body. The trim will be on the grill, both sides of the Bronco, and the tailgate.

Upgrade cost is $1500

Sport Trim - Body Side Moldings

Exterior Trim Color - Chrome vs Satin Black

Most of the time your exterior paint color will dictate if you choose chrome or black accents.

The affected items are the following: Fender Emblems, Headlight Rings, Bumpers, Mirrors, Tailgate Handle, Rear License Plate Bracket, Door Handles, Door Hinges, Wiper Arms and Wing Window Frames. (Door lock cylinders only come in stainless)

Below are a few popular wheel and tire options that we end up using on most of our builds. But if there is something different you find, just let us know.

The lug pattern for wheels is 5 on 5.5

Most builds use a 15x10, but if you prefer a narrower offset on your wheels, then we recommend using a 17x9. The 17” wheels won’t stick out as far past the fenders, have a slightly more modern look, and will do a better job at protecting the paint from rock chips. The 15x10 wheels offer a more aggressive and traditional stance.

In terms of tires, our go to brand is BFGoodrich. Most builds use the BFG KO2 All Terrain. This tire has great road manners, and most sizes offer the option of having white letters out, or black walls. The other option is the KM3 Mud Terrains. These have a more aggressive look and still drive nicely on the road. These come in black walls only.

Optional Sizes:

15x10 Wheels with 33x12.50x15 Tires or 17x9 Wheels with 285/70/17 Tires

(2.5” Suspension Lift, 1” Body Lift)

15x10 Wheels with 35x12.50x15 Tires or 17x9 Wheels with 315/70/17 Tires

(3.5” Suspension Lift, 1.5” Body Lift)

Rear Tire Carrier w/Matching Spare

If you want the look and functionality of having a spare tire, our go to solution is the Duff Tire Carrier. It’s a great product that is heavy duty and can handle the additional weight of the spare tire.

It’s painted to match and available with or without a 2” receiver hitch.

Upgrade cost is $3500

Our standard builds come with either chrome or black stock bumpers, which look classic and original. But if you’re going for more of an off-road look, we do offer an HD series bumper upgrade, available in satin black.

Things like a winch and led lights can be added as well to these bumpers.

Upgrade price for the bumpers is $3500

Off Road Style HD Bumpers

Power Steps

Without a doubt our most popular add-on. Open the door and a step drops down. Close the door and they retract.

They look cool, are super functional, and are especially helpful when removing or installing your soft top, as it allows you to reach the windshield frame a lot easier.

6-Point Family Cage vs 4-Point Classic Roll Bar

Our Family Cages have the following advantages over the stock 4-point roll bar.

They allow 3-point seat belts for the rear passengers, they allow the use of a full coverage Bimini Top that covers the front and rear passengers, and they are integrated into the windshield frame.

The windshield frame is mounted to a piano hinge that can wear out over time and cause the windshield to shake. The family cage solves this issue.

(We have a work around for the 4-point as well, it just doesn’t look as clean)

Family Cage Upgrade - $3000

Leather Interior

Below are several different examples of leather choices.

There are tons of options to choose from, so this is just a small sampling. You can choose your choice of vertical pleat stitching or diamonds.

Carpet Kit or Raptor Liner

99% of our builds have a black carpet kit, but if you prefer a different color please see below for options. When using a carpet kit, all builds will have sound deadening and heat proofing material installed under the carpet.

If you prefer raw truck bed coating, this can be a great option if you live near the beach for example and want something that’s easier to clean vs vacuuming sand out of your carpet.

Steering Wheel Options

See below for different steering wheel options. The Grant wheels can be stained to match your leather color for an additional charge

Back-up Camera in Mirror

We’re all so use to our backup camera’s these days, that having one in a classic just makes sense. We use a backup camera that is integrated into the rear-view mirror and doesn’t take away from the classic styling.

When not in reverse it just looks like a regular mirror. Shift it into reverse and a screen appears.

Push Button Start Ignition w/Power Locks and Alarm

Modernize your Bronco with a modern key fob, push button start, power locks and an alarm system! And when paired with an Automatic Transmission, the remote start functionality will be enabled as well.

Price - $1500

ICON Center Console with Apple Car Play

The standard center console we use houses a single din Bluetooth stereo in a hidden compartment, has lockable storage and two cup holders for the front passengers.

The ICON center console allows for a much larger Double DIN display with Apple or Android Car Play, has front and rear cup holders, and is just an all-around very nice product. The downside is the console itself is very expensive, and the larger stereo is as well.

Price - $3500

Front Speaker Pods

Our standard 5.1 stereo system has one speaker in the dash, (4) 6.5” speakers in the rear quarter panels and an 8” JL Audio subwoofer in a compact box behind the rear seat.

The front speaker in the factory dash location doesn’t make a lot of sound however due to the shallow mounting depth and limited speaker options. So many of our customers choose to delete the factory speaker grill which cleans up the dash layout, and then add two 5 ¼ speakers inside fiberglass speaker pods.

These are located on the driver and passenger side kick panels.

Price - $1000

HVAC Vent Locations

Standard under dash 3 rectangular vents or 3 round vents in the dash. See pictures below.

Soft Top, Hard Top and/or Bimini Top

Soft Top – Comes in Black, Tan, Grey or White. The tops provide full coverage from the elements, but you can also zip out the rear and side windows, and just drive with the top portion up. These tops can be put up or down in about 10 mins.

(we strongly recommend against white, gets dirty very easily)

Bimini Top – Only comes in Black currently. Custom made option coming soon. This provides overhead coverage only, and works great to provide shade.

Hard Top – Brand new all metal hardtop, painted in your choice of color. No additional charge for two-tone paint if you want the hardtop cap painted satin black for example.

Headliner – Hardtop Headliner. Fiberglass headliner that is covered in black suede leather. The headliner looks great and allows us to put heat/sound proofing material on the underside of the hardtop metal. **headliner does not fit with the family cage, must run a 4-point cage instead**

Soft Top or Bimini Tops are included with Standard Builds

Hardtops are $15,000

Headliners are $1,500
